K9 Support Services

Our Training

Our training styles offer fully flexible training, completely tailored for the specific needs of both you and your dog. This will not only improve your dogs behaviour, but will also make the relationship between you and your dog stronger.

No training need is too big or too small. We can provide a helping hand for correcting a smaller issue which may be all you need to get back on track. Likewise, at other times, the needs may be more complex and training support might be over multiple sessions.

We work with both individuals and family groups and can assist in both single dog and in multi-dog scenarios.  Common areas of training that we assist with include basic obedience; dog anxiety (e.g. noise phobia, separation); dog aggression; starting your relationship on the right foot with your new puppy; and even preparing for veterinary procedures and reducing frustration during post-op care. We have experience of collaborating on many occasions with both an owner and the regular dog-walker for the purpose of providing a consistent approach. In addition, we have experience supporting charities to rehabilitate dogs before rehoming as well as helping settle rescue dogs into their new home.

Building an owners confidence and skills are a key part of a great relationship, so we are here to help you strengthen those too.

In order to support the success of training, we can provide advice and guidance on choosing the appropriate equipment (leads, harnesses etc).

We work closely with multi-disciplinary partner organisations to whom we can refer you for additional specialist support and advice as appropriate. This includes for example nutritional advice as well as physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatment.

People get a dog because they want a friend. People hire a dog trainer because they don’t want their friend to be a sociopath!
